He didn't know how she ended up in the forest, cuffed, cut and her clothes rigid and torn. But she seemed to be in a plethora of pain, and he couldn't bare to see a woman in that condition.
Just as he set out to her help, she fainted, face down into the mud. He shook his head and picked her up, taking her back to his mansion.
"Delphine," he called out"undresss this girl and clean her up. Do not forget to bandage her wounds." His holloring sent a slightly obese woman scampering down the spiral steps from the top of the mansion.
"Yes mi'lord, sir." the woman carried the girl up the spiral steps.
Several minutes later, the girl was washed and bandaged. A seamstress took in her clothing and sowed them up, after of which were cleaned and dried. they hung on a chair, near the bed.
She stirred in her sleep, and the man sitting next to her was beginning to get anxiouse.
