"...Shippo?!"
His smile widened at her recognition, and the flush of happiness that skidded his heart before he could stop himself. He couldn't forget to complete what he had come here to do, though. His smile softened as he took in the recent wet streaks that streamed her face, the glisten of tears still fresh in her eyes, and reconciled himself to this decision. Reaching out placatingly, he took the next step, subtly positioning himself between her and the well.
"Kagome. It's... been a long time."
It had been a long time. But it would be longer... if he didn't do this.
"Shippo... Why is... The well is shut..?"
Sadness permeated the light, normally confident voice of the woman, and although the lies on his tongue were bitter, and changed so much of their past, Shippo just couldn't... leave this chance. He wasn't perfect. This was the nature of his species, and this would all work out ok in the end-
"Kagome, it won't open again. ...would you come with me?"

'What if... during those three years where the well shut, Kagome... I stole you?'

...my new otp that JUST WON'T LEAVE ME. I wasn't sure whether to stuff this in the others section, but I settled on fanart, as this does concern... Kagome? Completely.

I've been practicing on colouring, but the lines aren't as clear as they were on the paper - and they were rough to begin with, although I am in LOVE with Adult!Shippo.
...I partially blame you, forthright, for how you aged Shippo in Unexpected. BLAME PLACED. THERE. x;D
