This is for the Musical challenge given by Sesshomaruswifey. Based on the song "Like Animals" from the 1967 Dr. Dolittle. I loved the movie so much...
Enjoy.

Sesshomaru wished more than anything that he had just stayed home and read a good book. Next to him stood his annoying half brother that seemed able to talk without pausing for breath. He was going on about some girl in his class… Not that Sesshomaru was listening at all. He was tuning it out just as he tuned out the other loud occupants of the mall. His demon hearing was strong enough to hear a pin drop twenty feet away but that didn’t mean he wanted to know everything that the idiots around him said.
Sesshomaru hated malls. Not only did the noise annoy him, but the stench of sweat from the crowd was enough to make him want to pinch his nose so that he couldn’t smell anything. Of course, he was much too dignified to do such a thing in private let alone with hundreds of people around. The lights were bright enough that there was not a shadow to be seen, something that just showed how malls went against nature. Add in the horrendous food that they served and all of Sesshomaru’s senses were against this place. To further his pain, his father company owned the mall that he currently walked in, most likely because of his other son. For some strange reason the half demon loved malls… Probably because he only had half of whatever abilities Sesshomaru had, maybe less.
The two kept walking and soon came upon a spot where people were just standing still. Sesshomaru stopped before nearing the crowd, but Inuyasha continued walking and ended up running into someone. They swopped curses and soon became the best of friends. Sesshomaru rolled his eyes.
“So what’s the crowd for?” Inuyasha asked his new friend, going onto his tip toes to try and see over the heads of the people in front of him. It didn’t work so he plopped back down onto his heels.
“Some girl is protesting the use of fur. Unlike all those crazy animal lovers that you hear about, you know the ones that lock themselves to poles and tress? Well, this girl actually makes sense.” The man shook his head. “The crowd might break up soon so you can hear something. Good luck.” He walked away with a wave that Inuyasha returned. Sesshomaru just stood to the side in silence. Over the crowd’s chatter he couldn’t hear a thing that the girl was saying. Just as the man said, soon the crowd died down and Sesshomaru was able to move closer with Inuyasha at his side.
“Kagome?” Inuyasha said in surprise. Sesshomaru blinked at him.
“Hn.” Sesshomaru said without emotion. He was listening to the girl.
“How can we treat animals this way?! We beat them, we reject them, and if we don’t like them we eat them! Have you thought of the chicken or the cow that does its best to feed you? What of the horse or the dog that works for you? That fur you are wearing, do you wonder how you could wear it when you know that it could be a mother or a brother?”
Sesshomaru stared at the young woman who stood on top of a chair in the food court. She was dressed in jeans and a plain blue t-shirt, but to him she was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. Her midnight hair swayed with her enthusiasm for what she was saying, blue eyes shooting fire at the crowd. She was magnificent and Sesshomaru wanted to meet her, to talk to her, maybe to kiss her.
“And those sayings! A woman you don’t like becomes a female dog, a man becomes a rat. If you eat too much you are a pig when really all you are is a man! We don’t work like horses and we will never be as loyal as a dog. Humans are animals too so why can’t we treat animals like we do our own species?! Why do we have to treat animals like animals and not just like them for what they are?”
There was applause from most of the group surrounding the small woman. Two men dressed in uniforms with security labeled on their sleeves came forward. Kagome nodded her head at whatever they said and jumped down from the chair. Sesshomaru moved forward and put one clawed hand on Kagome’s shoulder.
“I’ll take her.” He said to the men. They blinked at him, obviously trying to place his face. When their mouths went slack Sesshomaru figured they had remembered.
“Yes sir.” One of the men said and they both backed off slowly. Sesshomaru almost laughed at how they treated him like he would bite their heads off. Then again, he could do worse to their wallets.
Sesshomaru waited for the men to leave before removing his hand from the delectable woman. Kagome turned and frowned at him.
“Who are you?” She asked sharply, eyes narrowed. He wanted to lean in and kiss her for that look.
“I am Sesshomaru. As a dog demon I appreciate what you have said.” Her face instantly brightened and her smile seemed to light up the room.
“Cool, want to get lunch?”
“I would love to.”
